Every child deserves a place to play and feel welcome.
THE DAILY GRINDKids with mobility delays or disabilities (and their families) work hard in multiple types of therapy each week. Austin's weekly schedule includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and the list goes on for other kids. While therapists and caregivers do their very best to make it fun, it's still HARD WORK!

FIND MORE FUNWalk with Austin wants to help families find more opportunities for fun that fit the needs of their differently abled little ones (and big kids!). One of our favorite places, that makes sure kids with disabilities feel welcome and comfortable, is Disneyland! Because we know having special needs is very taxing physically, emotionally and financially, we have future dreams of being able to provide financial assistance for kids with mobility needs to go with their families to Disneyland! Stay tuned for more info.

ADVOCACYAdvocating for services for Austin has been a huge learning curve! There are so many agencies and organizations that offer help but they rarely coordinate with each other. There are county, state, regional, private and school services for kids with disabilities and we want to be sure all kids are able to utilize them.

INCLUSIVE FUN FOR EVERYONE
Our goal is to bring an ability inclusive playground to El Dorado Hills, CA,
where every child can play, have fun and feel welcome.
where every child can play, have fun and feel welcome.
Kids with extra needsAustin, like all children with a disability, is a freaking ROCK STAR! He has endured more poking and prodding in his 7 years of life than most of us will in a lifetime and he does not let it get him down. Like other kids, disabilities or not, he just wants to HAVE FUN! Rather than letting his lack of mobility hold him back, our mission as his parents is to create all the fun opportunities we can for him. That's how WALK WITH AUSTIN came to be...we want to share what we're learning about parenting kids with disabilities along the way and provide more opportunities for fun for differently abled kids.
